Stargazing Live Webcast

Science

On Thursday 19th January, 80 students from the school watched a live webcast by Professor Brian Cox. He discussed the work he carries out at CERN, Switzerland and how this is linked to the Big Bang Theory. After his talk, he answered questions which had been emailed in from schools across the country. We were lucky enough to have two of our questions answered by Brian. Callum Newman in Year 11 and Daniel Hurwood in Year 12 were mentioned on the stream. The video of the talk can be found on the link and our questions can be found from 53 minutes onwards. The whole afternoon was a great success and the students gave very positive feedback.
